Bring a Water Day to your pool

For senior living communities with a warm pool. Amal Lana comes to you, opens with a group session, then works with residents one at a time through the day.

What a Water Day looks like

Individual sessions are 25 minutes: the right length for older bodies in community-pool water.

Three ways to pay

Most communities choose the first. The other two are there if your wellness budget is small.

Most chosen

Sponsored

The community pays one fee for the day, plus its share of the trip. One invoice, nothing for residents to pay.

Residents pay

With a guarantee

Residents pay $65 for a 25-minute session and $15 for the group. The community guarantees $500 for a half day or $900 for a full day.

Shared

Hybrid

The community covers the group session and the trip; residents book their own individual sessions at $65.

Valley trips: one shared trip fee

The $280 trip fee from Flagstaff is split between the communities on the same trip. Two communities pay $140 each. Lodging is provided by a host or added at cost.

Bring a neighbor community

Know another community with a warm pool? If they join the same trip, you take $100 off your Water Day.

About water temperature. Water Days work best at 90°F or warmer. In cooler water, Amal Lana keeps individual sessions shorter and leans on the group session. Please ask your facilities team to warm the pool the day before.

Five steps to a Water Day

  1. Send the request below: your community, preferred dates, half or full day, and how you’d like to pay.
  2. Amal Lana confirms the date and sends a deposit link. Half the day’s fee holds it.
  3. You get a flyer and a sign-up sheet with the day’s time slots, ready to post.
  4. Return the names and times 3 days ahead. Residents fill out the large-print health note.
  5. Water Day. Amal Lana arrives with a full schedule.

Cancellations within 7 days of the Water Day keep the deposit, because the trip is already committed.

Request a Water Day

Amal Lana reads every request herself and replies by email.

What directors ask

Do residents need to know how to swim?

No. Everything happens standing or floating, fully supported, in chest-deep water. Faces stay above the water.

What about residents with health conditions?

Every resident fills out a short, large-print health note before the day, and Amal Lana reads each one. Anyone unsure should check with their doctor first; the list of things to ask about is on Before your session.

What if only a few residents sign up?

With a sponsored day, the price stays the same. With resident-pay, the community covers the gap up to the guarantee. Most directors post the flyer two weeks ahead.

Can staff or family join?

Yes. Staff and family are welcome poolside, and staff can join the group session.

What happens between visits?

You get a simple weekly pool routine your activity staff can lead, so residents keep moving until the next Water Day. See the routine.
